Denmark
Schengen area - visa-free for EU/EEA citizens
Overview
Denmark is a Scandinavian country bridging continental Europe and the Nordic region. Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is Scandinavia's busiest airport and a major hub connecting Northern Europe to the rest of the world. The country serves as a gateway between Western Europe and the Nordic/Baltic regions.
With approximately 6 million residents, Denmark punches above its weight in aviation. Copenhagen is the primary hub for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), making it a key transfer point for flights across the Nordic countries. The country also has regional airports at Billund (serving LEGOLAND and western Denmark) and Aalborg (northern Jutland).
Denmark is known for its efficient infrastructure, cycling culture, and hygge lifestyle. The country uses the Danish Krone (DKK), not the Euro, despite being an EU member.
