Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) is Shanghai's main international airport and one of the busiest airports in China. Always verify which airport your flight uses.

Rush hour warning: Traffic between PVG and the city can be severe during peak hours (7-9 AM, 5-8 PM). The Maglev train combined with Metro Line 2 bypasses traffic and is the most reliable option for reaching central Shanghai.

Important: Uber does not operate in China. Use DiDi (China's dominant rideshare app) or official taxis.

Maglev Train (Fastest to City)

The Shanghai Maglev is the world's fastest commercial train, reaching speeds up to 430 km/h. It connects PVG to Longyang Road Metro station in approximately 8 minutes.
