About
Air Mauritius is the flag carrier of Mauritius, headquartered in Port Louis with its main hub at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU). Founded in 1967, the airline has grown to become the gateway to the Indian Ocean islands, connecting Mauritius with destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
The airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus A350-900s, A330-900neos, A330-200s, and ATR 72 turboprops for regional services. Air Mauritius made aviation history as the first airline worldwide to operate both the Airbus A350-900 XWB and A330-900neo aircraft. The airline is particularly popular with tourists traveling to Mauritius from Europe (London, Paris, Geneva), India (Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai), and South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town).
Air Mauritius is not a member of any global airline alliance but maintains codeshare partnerships with Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air India, Kenya Airways, South African Airways, and Saudi Arabian Airlines, providing connectivity to over 70 destinations through these partnerships.
