The airline is known for precision, premium service, and its exceptional First Class product featuring private terminals and limousine service.

Overweight & Oversized Fees
Do not reuse an old flat-fee table. Lufthansa prices extra, heavy, oversize, and sports baggage by itinerary, fare, and purchase channel. Its baggage calculator is the decision source for your flight. The standard checked limit is 158 cm total dimensions, and no accepted passenger bag may weigh more than 32 kg.
Elite Status Baggage Benefits
HON Circle, Senators, and Star Alliance Gold members on intercontinental Economy Light fares receive first checked bag free (at check-in counter only).
Special Items
Sports equipment, child equipment, mobility aids, and musical instruments have item-specific booking and packing rules. Use Lufthansa's Baggage Calculator and the relevant special-baggage page before travel; acceptance is not determined by weight alone.
