About
Asiana Airlines is a South Korean full-service carrier headquartered in Seoul. Founded in 1988, the airline has earned a reputation for excellent service quality, receiving a 5-star rating from Skytrax—one of only ten airlines worldwide to hold this distinction.
Asiana operates 90 international routes to 21 countries and 14 domestic routes within South Korea. As a Star Alliance member since 2003, the airline offers seamless connections to over 1,300 destinations globally.
Important: Korean Air Merger In December 2024, Korean Air completed its $1.4 billion acquisition of Asiana Airlines. The two airlines will operate independently through a transition period, with full brand integration expected by January 2027. Asiana Club members should monitor communications about loyalty program changes—miles will eventually convert to Korean Air's SKYPASS program.
