The Metro Blue Line light rail is the most reliable option for reaching downtown Minneapolis, avoiding highway traffic entirely. The Metro Green Line connects to St. Paul from downtown Minneapolis.

• Green Line: Transfer at Government Plaza or other downtown stations to reach St. Paul (35-40 min to Union Depot)

To St. Paul

Take the Blue Line to downtown Minneapolis, then transfer to the Green Line at any shared station (Government Plaza, Nicollet Mall, or US Bank Stadium). The Green Line runs to downtown St. Paul Union Depot. Total travel time from MSP to downtown St. Paul: approximately 50-60 minutes.
