Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is the joint flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, formed in 1946 through a unique consortium bringing together the national airlines of all three Scandinavian countries. Headquartered in Solna, Sweden, SAS operates a fleet serving over 100 destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia.

On September 1, 2024, SAS officially joined SkyTeam after 27 years as a founding member of Star Alliance. This transition followed Air France-KLM taking a 19.9% stake in the airline as part of SAS's emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The partnership brings enhanced connectivity through codeshare agreements with Air France, KLM, Delta, and other SkyTeam members.

SAS is known for its Scandinavian design aesthetic, efficient service, and strong network connecting Nordic countries to the rest of the world. The airline pioneered polar routes in the 1950s and continues to innovate with modern aircraft including the Airbus A350 and A321LR for long-haul operations.
