About

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is the flag carrier airline of Morocco, headquartered at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. Founded in 1957, the airline has grown to become one of Africa's largest carriers, operating a network of over 100 destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

In April 2020, Royal Air Maroc became a full member of the oneworld alliance, making it the first African carrier and the first new full member since 2014. This membership enables seamless connections with partner airlines including American Airlines, British Airways, Qantas, and Cathay Pacific, positioning Casablanca as a strategic hub connecting Africa to the rest of the world.

RAM is known for its strong Africa network, offering more connections to the continent than any other oneworld carrier. The airline operates a modern fleet including Boeing 787 Dreamliners for long-haul routes and Boeing 737s and Embraer jets for regional services.

Common Issues:

  • Digital boarding passes not accepted at Casablanca; print or collect at counter
  • Online check-in unavailable for US-bound flights; plan to check in at airport
  • Peak summer season may reduce baggage allowance on some European routes
  • Older 737-800 aircraft lack personal entertainment screens; download content in advance
